Heart N Soul Farm began with bringing my three horses home and discovering just how much I loved caring for animals and building a life connected to the land. Along the way, goats entered the picture and quickly became much more than a passing interest.
The herd began with Nigerian Dwarfs but has gradually grown to include La Manchas, Saanens, and a handful of recorded grades. Each breed brings something different to the farm, and each has expanded the way I think about dairying, management, and what I hope to build here over time.
Our Dairy Goat Herd
Goats were never part of the original plan…
As the farm continues to grow, I'm finding myself increasingly drawn to the dairy side of things. What began as a love of goats has evolved into a deeper interest in milk production, dairy management, and the role these animals can play in a sustainable farm.
The longer I keep goats, the more I realize how much there is still to learn. That's one of the things I love most about them. They challenge me, humble me, and reward me in equal measure.
The herd will undoubtedly continue to evolve as I learn more and refine my long-term goals, but my goal remains simple: to raise animals I genuinely enjoy living and working with while building a farm that reflects the values that matter most to me.
